# Can I ride a robotaxi here?

Pick a city. The checker counts the robotaxi services listed there and answers from their published status.

Use the tool on the [web page](https://robotaxis.fyi/tools/can-i-ride-a-robotaxi-here). It works without JavaScript.

## How to use it

1. Choose city.
2. Read the result.

## How it works

The checker counts the listings in the city you pick, split by their service-status category: ride now, waitlist, testing or announced.

A public status means the operator or a permit record says anyone in the service area can hail a ride. Waitlist means riders join in stages. Testing and announced mean the public cannot ride yet.

Every listing names the source it was checked against and the date it was read. Coverage changes monthly, so confirm in the operator's app.

> This checker reads the directory's own listings. It is not travel advice. Confirm status and service area in the operator's app before you travel.

## Questions

### My city is not in the list. Can I ride a robotaxi there?

Probably not. The list only shows cities where Robotaxis could verify a service. A missing city usually means no operator publishes coverage there.

### Does a robotaxi in the city cover the whole city?

No. Operators publish a bounded service area, often a set of neighbourhoods. The listing shows the area; the app shows it live.

> **Check before you ride.** Robotaxis.fyi lists where driverless and monitored ride services run, from operator pages and public permit records. Service areas, hours and prices change often and sometimes without notice: confirm in the operator's app before you travel. A listing is a record, not a recommendation.
